In this session, a customer case will be discussed and demonstrated about how you can monitor the performance and resource related behaviour of an ADF application by instrumentation. Instrumenting the application gives visibility of and insight in what is happening inside the application. What ADF, SOA, Java and database transactions are executed, when and how often? What is the health of your system? What is the type/severity of errors? Are there memory or network blockages? What is the end-user experience? This end-to-end visibility and insight is very effective in identifying and resolving performance and health problems quickly. Several customer scenarios will be discussed. Learn how you can make instrumentation an integral part of your ADF development process.
Lessons learned on development and architecture decisions will also be shared!
Hopefully you all have been out and playing with latest version of APEX. IG make a key feature of 5.1 but how good it really is plus APEX team mentioned IG will be totally replacing IRs so is it the right time for replacement. In this session we will look under the hood of IG - basics, demos, master detail and more. See what are key benefits and what users really get over IRs. On technical side, as developers we will see how easy it is to adjust, configure and where are the gotchas of Interactive grids.
Suitable for all level audience.
How we develop with Oracle Application Express evolved over time.
In this presentation I want to take you on the journey how you can (or should?) develop APEX apps today.
We will cover quickSql, Blueprint, APIs and other tips and tricks that can help you building modern applications.
Why is my ETL slow? This light-hearted presentation looks at some the misguided techniques developers have chosen to fulfil the functional requirements of their ETL processes but forgetting the need for the ETL to run quickly and efficiently. Looking at various examples I have seen in both hand-coded SQL and integration tools such as Oracle Data Integrator I look at the problems of doing too much work in a process. Sometimes through writing our own code to do something the platform does natively, other times through just moving too much data around. The presentation will look at: - using the in-built functionality of the platform and not writing your own; - doing things at the right time and place; - choosing techniques appropriate for the platform; - why correct data types are important; - the dangers of doing too much work. At the end of the talk developers should smile at the misfortune of others, but also have a renewed knowledge of appropriate techniques in ETL
So you develop your awesome Oracle Application Express app, but what now?
I'll show you the easiest way to deploy your APEX app to an environment that works today, but can scale while you grow.
After this presentation I hope you have all answers so you can sleep without worrying your awesome app is not available :)
This session is a quick compilation of some of the best APEX 5.1 features and its live-sandpits (if you do not pay enough intention). No matter if you just joined the club or if you are an experienced developer there will be something for everybody. It will be mostly demo based session filled with problems from the field and how to work around them. Why some things did not work in 5.1 while they did in 5.0 or 4.2, handling dates, IG and more?
What’re Oracle Management Cloud Security Modules?
With advent of big data technology it’s now possible to identify zero day modern cyber-attacks as well as internal threats using machine learning. Oracle Management Cloud security modules, Security Monitoring Analytics as well as Configuration and Compliance are Unified, Heterogeneous and protect IT assets across leading cloud providers as well as on-premise
Introducing OMC Security modules:
Oracle Management Cloud represents a new generation of systems management designed for today’s IT organizations. Delivering on Oracle’s vision of providing a complete set of cloud-based systems management services for maintaining heterogeneous environments with minimal setup time. Oracle Management Cloud includes intuitive built-in dashboards that provide instant insights about your applications. The monitoring, management, and analytics included within Oracle Management Cloud leverage machine learning, anomaly detection, and big data techniques against the full breadth of the operational data set—in the process overcoming limitations imposed by earlier-generation management tools.
OMC Security Monitoring Analytics as well as Configuration and Compliance modules incorporate SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics) services for end-to-end SOC (Security Operations Center) to identify security challenges in real time.
